Welcome to the Horsham Garden Music Festival Website where you can find all you need to know about our free, inclusive, family-friendly, community-focussed music festival which is held annually in West Sussex in Horsham Park’s beautiful Human Nature Garden.
2018’s Festival promises surprises like never before. There’s a first-time collaboration with Horsham Folk Club; a ticketed, evening concert from The Almost Elvis Band (in association with High Gain Events Services), interactive Drumming Workshops from Adam Gellibrand and Boom Tribe and, honouring our commitment to local, emerging young talent, we will be devoting the first half hour of three of our shows to singers and bands from Horsham’s rich and vibrant young performer community.
As always, there’ll be lots to keep children happy including have-a-go sand art from TruSandArt both weekends, face painting from Great Faces the first weekend and various activities from Flora and Fauna including face painting the second weekend.
There will also be an excellent selection of food and drink available to buy including savoury delights from Carmela’s and sweet treats from JubyLee Bakes and Southern Counties Ice Cream. Sussex Event Bars will be on hand with a bar selling locally produced beer, wine and cider.
Horsham Garden Music Festival is a registered charity, set up by Paul Bellringer OBE in 2012. Its mission was, and still is to provide a platform for local amateur and semi-professional musicians as well as emerging young performers from around the District.
The Festival is organised by a small team of dedicated volunteers from all walks and stages of life, from students to busy mums, home-makers and freelancers, with ages range from 17 to 50.
Held each July in the surroundings of the lovely Human Nature Garden in Horsham Park, our festival is intimate, family friendly and community focussed.
We are proud of our inclusivity, welcoming musicians and volunteers alike regardless of gender, ethnicity, socio-economic background or educational need.
As well as fantastic live music and entertainment, festival-goers can expect to enjoy some of the best locally produced food and drink, available to buy from our on-site concessions, and as for the kids, there are always plenty of activities to occupy the younger ones.
We are immensely proud of the fact that our Festival is free to enter. This is made possible not only by the generosity of our sponsors and grant funders, details of which you can find on our Sponsorship page, but of the Festival-going general public who every year dig deep into their pockets to fill our collection boxes, buy raffle tickets or who purchase items from our on-site traders.
HGMF is always on the lookout for talented and motivated individuals to join our team, and we are especially keen to find on-the-day volunteers to help us run our events. If you would like more information, or want to register to get involved please email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
